Travis + Sam's Legacy Hill Farm Wedding

This wedding was near in dear to our hearts, as it is one of our own! Sam (who is one of our wonderful rosebuds) and Travis selected Legacy Hill Farm for their wedding day. If you love a timeless, vintage look, you are going to love this stunner of a day!

We're also thrilled to say that is was featured on The Coordinated Bride too!

Here are some of the awesome wedding details, straight from Sam!

How did you meet?  "We met when I was 14 and he was 17 at a mutual friends bonfire. We are now 24 & 27!" Side note from us... How awesome is this?! It is so rare to work with High Scholl Sweethearts but boy do we love it! It is so very special!

How did he propose? "He told me he had to work late so I should drive up to our lake with family and he would meet us up there that night. When I got there, he was already there and proposed with all of my family there to witness it. It was 4th of July weekend so we were able to celebrate with fireworks, good company and drinks!"

What was your vision for the day when you were planning? "Originally we both wanted a small and romantic wedding but our list kept growing. We still wanted it to feel romantic but also clean lined and  less is more type. We wanted it to be a great day for everyone so having a big dance was important to us."

Why did you select your venue? "We selected our venue because we were set on an outdoor wedding. In Minnesota it is hard to predict the weather and this venue gave us that outdoor wedding, while still being indoor at the same time. The venue itself is very beautiful even with no decor. It is on a farm, but it’s not a barn like other farm venues."

Tell me about your attire choices. "I was set on having my men in Black tuxes from day one. Something about a black tux, skinny tie, and suspenders makes a man look so sharp. We ended up picking out the Michael Kors black tuxes for the guys.  My color scheme for the wedding was white floral, a lot of greens and natural colors. My bridesmaids were in the color called Latte which was more of a nude color and they all looked stunning. It fit into my vision of colors perfectly. My mom picked out my dress. It was Allure. I wanted something with straps or sleeves and I wanted no sequins or bling on my dress. I was set on all lace ever since a little girl. I loved that my dress had ivory and a champagne underlay. My dress fit me like a glove."

What was the most important thing for you when planning? "The most important thing for me when planning my wedding was having both his family and my family involved. I wanted them to all be apart of my planning process, give me ideas and know that their opinions were valued. I have a small but close knit family and I couldn’t of gotten through everything with out them. The love and support our families have for my husband and I is amazing."

Favorite wedding day moment? "My favorite wedding day moment besides marrying the love of my life was to dance with him all night. He is not a big dancer and I am so for him to go out of his comfort zone and dance with me all night long was so much fun!"

Advice to future couples. "Take time for yourselves together after the ceremony. The day goes by so fast and you are surrounded by people from beginning to end. Taking time to just reflect on being married and breathe before continuing into the reception will be a moment you appreciate. " Spoken like a true wedding planner! ;)
