Becky + Alan's Wedding at the Calhoun Beach Club

Becky and Alan are longtime residents and forever fans of Minneapolis and its many restaurants, so it only made sense for these world travelers to celebrate in the city they also call home. It was such a joy to plan Becky and Alan’s early fall wedding day at Calhoun Beach Club, and we think it’s safe to say you will quickly learn why!

As Kimberly of Studio KH described in her blog post about Becky and Alan, these two could not have been more thoughtful. Whether it was thinking of something that would delight the other, presenting a handwritten note to a beloved family member, or treating their guests (and wedding professional team!) to a delicious meal before dancing officially commenced, B+A celebrated their new union as much as those who came to bear witness.

Their day began while the bride and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done by Warpaint International. Once they were ready (and the gents were all set too!), Becky and Alan shared their first look. We loved how Becky arrived with one of her gifts to Alan at the ready. Post first look, guests began arriving for their ceremony. B+A opted to host their ceremony and reception at the same venue. With beautiful natural light flooding the space, chairs in place for a ceremony in the round officiated by two friends, and an elegant-meets-modern canvas onto which they layered their neutral and timeless details, there truly could not have been a more perfect location!

Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs., guests mingled together during cocktail hour. One of our favorite features at the Calhoun Beach Club is the spacious deck that looks out onto Lake Calhoun and the Uptown district, which also holds special meaning to Becky and Alan.

Inside the reception space, tables were complete with beautiful greens and ivory blooms. The florals by Sadie’s Couture Floral were as fresh and clean as they were chic and beautiful, and they looked wonderful in the space! Gold flatware added a touch of metallic to each place setting, and Becky and Alan (of course!) made sure to leave favors at each guest’s seat where they would all later enjoy a seven-course meal prepared by D’Amico Catering.

Once it officially opened, the dance floor stayed packed for the entire night. That’s what we always enjoy about working with Lance Conrad! And, it’s safe to say once the final song of the night came to a close, the ending of Becky and Alan’s wedding day felt a little bittersweet. We were thrilled to send them off on their honeymoon in Tahiti, but we also can’t admit feeling a little sad that their incredible celebration was officially over.

Becky and Alan, thank you for trusting us to plan your wedding day. We cannot wait to see what both of you do next, and we already know Fritz will be by your side!
